Rachael Flatt Joins Team for Tomorrow

Written By: Riedell | December 29, 2009

With a busy schedule (see the USA Today article we posted about earlier this month), Rachael Flatt is finding time to give back to her local and global communities. Rachael was selected earlier this month as a Team for Tomorrow Athlete Ambassador, an impressive responsibility for the young skater.

Since 2008, the Team for Tomorrow Humanitarian Relief Fund has been making a positive impact on those in need through volunteerism, donations and advocacy. In 2010 the Ambassadors will focus their service in three areas: hospital visits, Habitat for Humanity projects and donations to relief funds in Africa and Afghanistan. To kick of her service, Rachael visited children at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO. To learn more about the Ambassador Program click here.

How do you use skating to give back to your community?  Have you or your skate club ever completed a volunteer project? Share you story.
