There are so many things I love about figure skating: seeing different places, meeting new people and doing fun things! I recently traveled to Pittsfield, Massachusetts for a skating competition so I got to stay in a hotel and swim in the heated pool (which was so much fun!).  I think I was having a little too much fun because I somehow scraped my foot on the bottom of the concrete pool, leaving my foot very, very sore a day before the competition.

When I woke up the next morning my foot still hurt, but as soon as I put on my 10-day-old lightweight Riedell skates my foot felt better! I think it was the padding inside the boot that helped keep my feet comfortable. That day I competed in 3 events—freestyle, interpretive and showcase— and I won gold in each! Thanks Riedell for saving the day!
