Riedell Skater, Jozef Sabovcik, to Skate in “An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends”

Friday, October 30th, 2009

On November 7th, Riedell Skater Jozef Sabovcik will join skating legends including Scott Hamilton and Kristi Yamaguchi for the 10th Annual “An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends,” a premier event supporting Scott Hamilton’s CARE Initiative. The event is especially exciting this year because Scott Hamilton will be making his return to the ice after more than 5 years!

The evening begins with a skating performance at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.  The band, Cheap Trick, and the Cleveland Pops Orchestra will provide the music for the skating event.  After the stellar performances by Hamilton, Yamaguchi, Sabovcik and others, guests are invited to attend a black tie gala at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.

Scott Hamilton’s CARE Initiative was founded in 1999 by Scott Hamilton and the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute to support cancer research and education efforts. Over the past nine years, “An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends” has raised $10.5 million for cancer education and research.
