30th Anniversary of the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships

It’s been 60 years since the first modern synchronized skating team was first formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Since then, synchronized figure skating has taken off as a popular team sport that is recognized and practiced throughout the world. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.
Riedell will be represented by the Miami University Synchonized Team, participating in the senior, collegiate and junior programs, and Minnesota’s own Team Braemar, participating in the junior program.
The action kicks off today in Colorado Springs. Check out the following schedule, with all times shown in Eastern Standard Time:
- Thursday, Feb. 27 at 4:35 p.m.: Intermediate free skate
- Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:25 p.m.: Novice free skate
- Thursday, Feb. 27 at 9:15 p.m.: Junior short program
- Friday, Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m.: Juvenile free skate
- Friday, Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.: Senior short program
- Friday, Feb. 28 at 9 p.m.: Junior free skate
- Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m.: Masters free skate
- Saturday, March 1 at 4:30 p.m.: Adult free skate
- Saturday, March 1 at 6:50 p.m.: Collegiate free skate
- Saturday, March 1 at 9:30 p.m.: Senior free skate
